MenthorQ Custom Levels

In this lesson, you’ll learn how to use MenthorQ’s Custom Levels indicator on TradingView, which allows you to manually import and update trading levels directly from the MenthorQ dashboard. Since TradingView doesn’t support an API connection, this custom levels approach gives you more control and flexibility over your level management.

The Custom Levels indicator is found in the Invite only section of TradingView. It uses a copy-paste function built within the MenthorQ dashboard, allowing you to grab levels directly and paste them into the indicator. The indicator includes five input level boxes, with each box supporting approximately five tickers due to a 4,000 character limit per box. This means you can load a total of 20 tickers per indicator, and if you need more, you can simply add multiple indicators and repeat the process.

There are several compelling reasons to use custom levels. First, you get faster updates because you can copy and paste new levels the moment they appear on the dashboard. Second, you can use custom levels for backtesting by uploading historical levels to review and test past scenarios going back five to six months. This is particularly valuable since the gamma levels end of day and intraday do not update automatically—you need to either remove and re-add the indicator or update the code manually, making the copy-paste method more convenient for many users.

To find and import levels, go to the dashboard’s End of Day or Intraday section where you’ll find the TradingView level command. If you don’t see it, click Add Command and select TradingView levels to position it in your dashboard. For managing multiple assets efficiently, MenthorQ provides a request level tool within Quinn where you can select up to five tickers per request and customize different level types including gamma levels end of day, gamma levels intraday, blind spots, and swing levels. You can search by typing ticker symbols separated by commas, or even create a pre-populated document for faster access.

The indicator settings mirror the end of day and intraday indicators, allowing you to choose label position (left, center, right), adjust offset, modify text size, and customize table settings including size, sorting (alphabetically descending or ascending), layout (horizontal or vertical), and position. You can also convert levels from one asset to another and customize colors for each level or group them into primary jacks one to five with color modifications.

To get started, add the Custom Levels indicator from the Invite only section in TradingView, then navigate to the MenthorQ dashboard or the Quinn levels request tool to copy your desired levels. Paste them into the input boxes in the indicator settings, and you’ll see the levels appear immediately on your chart—the entire process takes less than 20 seconds.

Now let's take a look at the Custom levels indicator. To add the indicator, simply go to the Invite only section, click on Apply and you'll be able to add the indicator. The indicator requires the user to import the level using a copy paste function that we built within our dashboard. So you can actually grab the levels directly from the dashboard, paste them into these boxes here, and update the levels directly. Because TradingView doesn't support an API connection, some users prefer to use custom levels to manually load the updates.

[00:00:31.16] - Speaker 1
So when to use and why to use custom levels? So first of all, you can actually get faster updates because you can copy and paste the new levels the moment they appear on the dashboard. You can also use custom level for backtesting, so you could potentially upload historical levels to review and test past scenarios. And you know, just keep in mind that also the gamma levels, end of day and intraday do not update automatically. So you need to remove and re add the indicator or update the code.

[00:00:59.04] - Speaker 1
So some user might prefer to use the custom level and just copy paste from the dashboard. So within the custom level, within the settings, we can find five input level boxes. Each of the boxes will allow us to upload around five tickets per box, with a total of 20 tickets per indicator. There is a training unit of 4,000 characters within the text that you upload there. So it's about five tickers.

[00:01:27.15] - Speaker 1
So overall five boxes, 20 tickers. And you can have, if you need more, you can add multiple indicators and you can repeat the same process. So the first step is to input the levels. But where can I find the levels? You can find the levels in the Dashboard within the End of day or Intraday section.

[00:01:46.07] - Speaker 1
I can see the TradingView level command here. If you don't see it, make sure you click on Add Command, select the TradingView levels here and then position it in the dashboard. Can simply copy here and then go into my indicator, click on the settings and paste right here and you will see the level appearing. So what I did here is I now selected one level at the time. So obviously some user might cover multiple assets.

[00:02:17.09] - Speaker 1
So, so what we've done is we have developed a request level tool within Quinn. So if you click on quin levels, you will get to this page within Queen and you will have the ability to request the level. So let's go over how you can do that. We can search for a ticker here by simply drag and drop menu. You can select, you can choose a ticker type or we can simply type it in.

[00:02:45.13] - Speaker 1
So if we want to search for wix, for example, and maybe we want to look for qqq, we can type it here and select it. So we can select up to 5 tickers per request. You can also then customize the different level type that you want to see. We can have our gamma levels end of day, our gamma levels, intraday, our blind spots and our swing level. Let's start with our gamma levels end of day.

[00:03:10.15] - Speaker 1
Going to click on search. This is going to populate the text for me. I just simply copy here, then go back to our indicator, open the indicator settings, paste the level in the box, simply click ok. The level will now appear and I can now change the ticker.

[00:03:37.07] - Speaker 1
And all my levels will be there.

[00:03:42.08] - Speaker 1
Another way of searching for levels, if you want to be faster, is by typing them, separating them by a comma, and then click on search. This is one really good option for you guys to request the levels. Or if you wanted to actually be even faster, you could actually create a document like a Word document or a Google document like I have here. With your levels already pre populated, go back to the level section, Just simply paste the new level and search and that will be access to the same text file or text input. Copy the levels, paste them into the indicator and just hit ok.

[00:04:40.08] - Speaker 1
So let's imagine that you want to import more type of level for each ticker. So let's say that I want to import gamma levels and swing levels for our tickers. I'm going to go and select like the levels here, copy the levels and then I'm gonna go back into the indicator. So each of the custom level indicator only allows us to have one type of level per ticker. So if you wanted to import e.g.

[00:05:09.10] - Speaker 1
gamma levels of Google and string levels, then you would need to add a second indicator and then simply paste the new text there. Right?

[00:05:23.17] - Speaker 1
Okay, now let's go over the settings. So similar to the end of day and intraday indicator, we have very similar settings. We have the first five inputs right here. As we said, you can upload up to 4000 characters per input box. That means around 5 tickers.

[00:05:41.03] - Speaker 1
So you can import a total of 20 tickers per indicator. You can choose the label position, left, center, right, you can choose the offset. So how far right you want to move the labels right here. You can also choose the text size, the table settings as well. You can choose the size of the table.

[00:06:03.19] - Speaker 1
You can click on normal. You have some sorting here. So you can sort alphabetically this descending or ascending. You can also have an horizontal or ver layout and you can also choose the position of the table. You can also have a dark or light mode and you can modify the number of characters for every line.

[00:06:27.16] - Speaker 1
And then if you want to remove the table, simply click on the table text size and click on none and this will remove the table. Level conversion works in the same format, so you can convert the levels from one asset to the other one in a similar way. It works exactly the same. We go over the level conversion in a separate video and then if we scroll to the, we also have the same settings. So we can change the color of each of the levels.

[00:06:58.29] - Speaker 1
Or we can group the levels into primary jacks one to five and we can change the color of the levels right here.

[00:07:13.25] - Speaker 1
Now let's go over some use cases, right? And let's go back to our request level tool. So the first use case would be to update our intraday levels. So if you click on Search here we will get the levels. We can also see the timestamp.

[00:07:31.03] - Speaker 1
We can go back to the previous snapshot, but by clicking on the previous date here, we will see the snapshot and then we can go back again. We can go forward and then again. If we want to upload these intraday levels, simply copy them, go back to the indicator and simply override the levels. It takes less than 20 seconds to do that.

[00:07:58.26] - Speaker 1
And this will show you how the levels update. Another use case would be to update different level types. So let's go over our swing levels. Let's click on search, copy the text, and then let's go back to our indicator, paste the levels and click ok. Another very important use case is the ability to upload historical levels. So if you are new to Mentor Q and you want to test out the levels, do some backtesting and understand you can actually do that by getting historical levels from the dashboard.

[00:08:38.07] - Speaker 1
So you can go back up to five to six months. So you can really test that out. So you can do that by going back here. So let's say we want to test the level from last Tuesday. We can click on January 6th, copy the levels from here, go back to our custom level indicator and update the levels.

[00:09:07.15] - Speaker 1
Now we can move to our SPX chart and we can now see how the levels from January 6th perform. So these would be the levels for that day. We have our one DMin, our HVL and then we went all the way through RJAX1 for the day. Right? So let's do it over again.

[00:09:29.22] - Speaker 1
Let's go back to our dashboard and let's say that now we want to test the levels from the 7th. So Wednesday, the 7th, we can click on the date here, copy the text, Go back to our indicator and just simply override the levels. Click on ok. And now you will see that the levels will change. So here we see the levels for the seventh, right? Which is here, and you will basically be able to see how the different levels perform.
