Trading Integrations

Bookmap Integration

In this lesson, you’ll learn how to set up and configure the Bookmap integration with MenthorQ, including the powerful new features like auto-update and level conversion. The integration allows you to display institutional-grade levels directly on your Bookmap heat map for enhanced trading visualization.

To get started, you’ll need the Priceline Add On from the Bookmap Marketplace, developed by Fintech Visual and Luis. We provide a coupon code for a discount. Once you download the JAR file to your computer, navigate to the configure add ons icon in Bookmap, click add, locate the file, and enable it by checking the checkbox. From your MenthorQ dashboard under integrations, you’ll find your API key which you paste into the add on’s Turkey integration panel.

The add on offers extensive customization options. You can select which level types to display including end of day, intraday, gamma levels, gamma sculpting, blind spots, and swing levels. The new auto update feature is particularly valuable since intraday levels update every 30 minutes. You can set the frequency to 30 minutes, 6 minutes, or 2 hours, and the system automatically refreshes your levels without manual intervention. You can also customize line sizes, opacity, label position, font size, text color, and background for each level type.

The highly requested conversion settings allow you to plot levels from any asset onto the futures you’re trading. You can display SPX or SPY levels on ES, QQQ and NDX on NQ, GLD on gold futures, or even individual stocks like Nvidia, Amazon, or Meta on NQ. You can choose to plot only converted levels or display both the original and converted levels simultaneously. The system shows converted levels with the source ticker in parentheses on the heat map.

The conversion feature uses manual ratios that you need to update once per day. While the ratio can change throughout the day, the level differences remain minimal, so daily updates are sufficient. We provide separate documentation and video guides on level conversion and calculating ratios, and the process takes less than 30 seconds each day.

For those who are new and have a Bookmap account and want to learn how to set up, the integration is very, very simple. You can come to your dashboard, you can go under integration, click on bookmap. Here we have our integration guide and we also have your API key. So once you set up everything, you will come here, get the API key from the dashboard and connect it to your bookmap. But if we go into the guide and basically what you see here is really the setup instruction, the first thing you need is the Priceline add On that you can purchase from the Bookmap Marketplace by clicking on the link here. You can also use our coupon code to get a discount. So you can actually go into the Priceline Add on from Fintech Visual, developed by Luis. And basically you'll be able to access what we're going to show you today. So very, very simple. The guide has everything that you need. We also have a video here. We also have all the settings. But today we're going to go into that. So I'll pass it on to you, Luis, and we can go into the platform.

[00:01:32.24] - Speaker 2
Okay. Can you still see my screen, right?

[00:01:35.16] - Speaker 1
Yeah.

[00:01:36.14] - Speaker 2
Okay, so here I have like Bookmap running. I'm subscribed to ES and Keel and then I'll just show you how to add the add on and maybe we can go over settings and then you can see if anybody has any questions. So yeah, here I have the add on running. So let me just remove. So start from scratch. Once you get the add on from the Marketplace, we'll download a JAR file to your computer. Then you can come here on Bookmap this configure add ons icon. Click here, click on add and then you have to find the add on your Windows PC or Mac. So basically let's load the last version. 2.5 add on will show up here. You have to click on this checkbox to enable. So when the add on enables, we have some options here to customize like the line sizes and opacity showing line labels or position. Maybe we can go over that after we load some lines into the chart. But yeah, just scroll all the way down, you'll see the main Turkey integration panel here. You will have to paste your API key here that you can get from the Mentor queue member website.

[00:02:54.14] - Speaker 2
Then you can customize what type of levels that you want to fetch. You can do like end of day intraday gamma levels, gamma sculpting, blind spots, swing levels, and then whenever you're ready you can click like update levels and you'll see a pop up here showing that the levels were loaded successfully. And you can see some lines here on the heat map in the background. But yeah, before we check the lines, let's just continue check going over all the settings. You can also, if you do some change here, for example, you can click Clear lines if you want to erase everything and click Update levels again to fetch again. And this was a highly requested feature. Auto Auto Enable Auto updates. So we are adding this to this Dot point five version. So now whenever you, I don't know, you have your settings here and you're just trading or watching the markets and you can enable this auto update. And then we have a frequency here, 30 minutes, 6 minutes or 2 hours. What this does is that every 30 minutes you'll do the same thing as clicking on this button, right? Just fetching the predated levels from MQ and updating the the heat map here in the background.

[00:04:06.15] - Speaker 2
We also have options to enable each type of line. So for example, if you want to disable the cold resistance, you can just select and uncheck here. And if for some reason you forget all the lines that you have and want to enable all, just click this button. Same thing for color, we can customize color for all of them. So for example, if you do hvl, you can click here and then we can choose choose color. There's a bunch of options here. And now the other highly requested feature is this conversion settings. So whenever you enable conversion, we have an option to plot only the converted levels. Or if you want to check this, you can plot it both. So here we have the API ticker. In this case we are on es, we are fetching the SPX and we are using this ratio here. And then whenever we do this, if you do update levels, we can see that the message here loaded successfully for ES and spx. So in this case, let me just close this. You can see that we'll have levels for both here. And for example this GEX one is whatever for the converted stuff, whatever you have in parentheses, you can see the line is from SPX converted to the ES using the ratio that we have in the settings.

[00:05:29.18] - Speaker 2
So yeah, and if you want to do, I don't know, for some reason you want to come back and let's clear the lines and let's spot only the SPX if you copy date levels again. So you'll see only SPX lines. Yeah, I think that's it for yes. Let me see what else that we can do here. You can change Line opacity, for example, if you want to less visible lines, show labels or no show labels. You can also adjust the label position if you want to maybe move all the way to the right or left or whatever. It's very customizable. You can also do label opacity. You can change the font size if you want bigger or smaller levels, you can change the text, color, background. It's very customizable. And so far it's been working really well with mq, the integration here we also have another option, another example. So if you want to, for example, let's say that you want to configure on mq. It's the same process, right? Always go to configure add ons, enable the pricelines, scroll all the way down for the MQ configuration, then you can do your level setup, what customizations that you want to fetch.

[00:06:47.07] - Speaker 2
And then for example, here we can do Q. Q. Q, set up a conversion ratio and then you can click on update levels and all the lines will be displayed in the heat map. I think it's very, very straightforward, very simple. I think that's pretty much Fabio.

[00:07:04.03] - Speaker 1
Yeah. And I think the announcement that we see first is the auto update. And the reason why that is important is because the intraday levels update every 30 minutes. So if you, for example, are converting intraday qqq levels to NQ, then you can get every 30 minutes the updated level without actually having to come here and manually update. So this is already done automatically. This is the major, kind of the major, one of the major developments. The second development is of course the conversion. So the ability for you to plot any type of asset onto the futures that you're trading. So the typical conversion that we see is SPX or SPY on ES or QQQ and NDX on nq. But you could do gold, so GLD on gold futures, you could do IBIT on Bitcoin futures, but you could also do like, things like Nvidia levels on NQ or Amazon or Meta like. So you'll be able to actually fully customize what you want to see there. Very important. We support currently the manual ratios, so you will need to update the ratio once a day. For those who are not familiar, we have a separate section on level conversion and how to calculate the ratio.

[00:08:28.11] - Speaker 1
But once you do that, it takes less than 30 seconds every day and you'll be able to update the level. So the ratio only needs to be updated once. It can change throughout the day, but the difference in between the level is not it's not going to really change much. So you can update the ratio once per day, but we have a separate video and documentation about that.
